AGENDA:

9:30 am — Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Denver
Presenter:  Josh Palmeri, Denver Senior City Planner

Background: “City planners are working with community members to look at how the Denver Zoning Code regulates ADUs. This project will not change where in the city ADUs are allowed, but will look at how they are designed, how they fit in with different types of neighborhoods and block patterns, and how updates to the zoning code may reduce barriers to creating ADUs.”

Join Saturday’s meeting to learn more. Visit the project website which provides information on the committee members working on this initiative,  the project’s goals, and how to sign up to receive information.

~10:15 am — Metro Districts:  An Update
Presenter:  Jim Gibson

Metro Districts are local governmental entities that tax residents in order to finance infrastructure and services.  They exist throughout Colorado, including many in Denver.  Presenter Jim Gibson is the author of Better Know Your Metro Districts (BKYMD) and has been working on metro district reform for past couple of years.

For more background, google David Migoya who has authored several articles in the Denver Post and one recently in the Denver Gazette exposing some of the problems with Metro Districts.
