Book selections appropriate for elementary school-aged children
Colorado Rockies Eric Young, Jr. has teamed up with Volunteers of America and the Denver Public Library to encourage the young and old alike to read. His program “Stealing Some Smarts,” is aimed to introduce the joys of reading to hundreds over the course of this year’s baseball season through several events across the city of Denver.
The events will take place at noon once a month at different Denver Public Library locations:
Saturday, May 18 at Woodbury Branch for elementary school-aged kids;
Saturday, June 29 at Green Valley Ranch Branch for middle-school aged kids;
Saturday, July 27 at Athmar Park Branch for teens;
Saturday, August 31 at Eugene-Field Branch for adults; and Saturday, September 21 for adults.
