1. Accessory Dwelling Units in Chaffee Park — Learn about the upcoming text amendment to the Denver Zoning Code to create a new zone district — the E-SU-B1 zone district. This text amendment and a concurrent map amendment (rezoning) are being proposed by Councilwoman Sandoval to allow accessory dwelling units in all single-unit zone districts in the Chaffee Park neighborhood. Presenters from Councilwoman Sandoval’s office and Community Planning & Development will explain the zoning changes. A summary of the proposal and a Public Review Draft have been posted at www.denvergov.org/textamendments.

2. Official Text Amendment (Group Living): On Friday, July 17, 2020, it is expected that formal notice and the 30-day review draft of the changes to Article 11 of the DZC (called the Group Living amendments) will be posted at www.denvergov.org/textamendments. The 30-day review period exceeds the required 15-day notice required for Text Amendments, and is in response to INC’s advocacy to give Registered Neighborhood Organizations and residents more time to consider changes to the Denver Zoning Code and discuss in their organizations. Assuming it comes out as planned Friday July 17, discussion of the Review Draft will be held.
