INC Delegate Meeting January 11 2020 — 2 Comments

  1. I just attended the 4th Group Living Advisory Committee (GLAC) Townhall meeting on 2/26/20 where Andrew Webb of CPD Spoke about changes in zoning code about Group Living. After a lengthy intro, background info, etc, 25 minutes were left to address questions from an audience of a few hundred concerned homeowners. Approx 12 questions were actually addressed. The most concerning element of those changes is a change to the Household Definition which allows for up to 8 unrelated adults in one house of 1600 Sq. Ft. This when extended to greater square footage and children of those adults magnifies the effects on homeowners, their property values, and conditions of properties as evidenced by examples brought to the meeting. This comment is a request for a reply as to what this group is doing to review, critique, or possibly address these proposed changes from a homeowners neighborhood standpoint? Mr. Webb left the audience to believe the changes are locked in via vague references as to when decisions will be final. If this is not the case, and Denver Inc. is an advocate of neighborhoods, those in attendance last night would appreciate knowing and hearing of your efforts to ensure Denver neighborhoods are being represented and not left to dark of the night ordinance changes opening up unrestricted housing and development.

    • Hi Joe
INC held an open meeting February 8 on this topic. The invitation went to all RNO’s listed with Denver as of Jan 31. Very good idea to contact your City Council representative with your concerns as well.
