New Business
Christine O’Connor expressed dismay that the city is pushing forward on the group home zoning change with only two scheduled public hearings: February 2, 6-8 PM at Bruce Randolph School, 3955 Steele St. and February 22 from 9-11 at Goldrick Elementary School, 1050 S. Zune Street. This change regarding 8 unrelated persons living together is necessary to come into compliance with state law.
Blair Taylor moved and Emmett Hobbley seconded a motion directing Christine to draw up a letter on behalf of the board to send to all members of City Council and Andrew Webber, Denver Planning Department, asking them to hold additional public meetings in each of the 11 council districts. January 14, the day following the board meeting, this letter was circulated electronically and unanimously approved by the INC board. A copy is attached.
